Dailey Precast, LLC is a subsidiary of Peckham Industries and is a
leading precast concrete manufacturer dedicated to delivering
high-quality concrete products for the construction industry
specializing in parking structures and similar commercial
buildings. With a commitment to innovation, efficiency, and
sustainability, we are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineering
Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exceptional
opportunity for a passionate student to apply Lean Six Sigma
principles, value stream mapping, and waste elimination techniques
in a real-world manufacturing setting.
Job Summary: Peckham's paid Internship Program is designed to add
practical, relevant experience to your field of study while
welcoming you into our family by choice.
As an Industrial Engineering Intern at Dailey Precast, you will
work closely with our experienced engineering team to analyze and
optimize manufacturing processes. You will play a crucial role in
identifying areas for improvement, reducing waste, and enhancing
overall efficiency within our production facilities. This
internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in applying
Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process excellence.
Enrollment in an accredited Industrial Engineering program
(Bachelor's or Master's) is required for this internship
opportunity.

improvement strategies to increase productivity and reduce
costs.9.Assist in the implementation of Lean Six Sigma initiatives
and projects.10.Conduct time and motion studies to optimize
workflow and labor utilization.11.Collect and analyze data to
monitor the impact of process improvements.12.Assist in the
development of standard work instructions and training
materials.13.Respect and engage. Actively participate in continuous
improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.14.Communicate. Present
findings and recommendations to management and team members.
Requirements, Education and Experience:Excellent Attendance and
Punctuality. The program is scheduled to run ten weeks, Monday,
June 2, 2025, through Friday, August 8, 2025, but can be flexible
to the student's need. We may customize the dates according to your
and/or your school's schedule. You will be responsible for tracking
your time using an automated company timecard.
1.You are responsible for your own housing and reliable

safety rules and regulations procedures3.Current enrollment at an
accredited college or university with a 3.0 or higher

Travel:Position may require up to 5% travel by personal vehicle to
job sites and offices throughout the state of New York, and New
England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:This job operates in an office
and professional environment, as well as, a manufacturing plant and
construction environment. This role routinely uses office equipment
such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This position also works
on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the
ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as
lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking,
reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
