AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holesPatient Experience requirements: At least one year of general Medicine/SurgeryUnit Specifics: **Med Surg/Medicine E4**Number of Beds : 36-bed unitUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :Type of equipment: Blood pressure machines, IV pumps, wound vacs, PCA pain control pumps, PAPRs, telemetry monitoring, pulse oximeter, WOWsDocumentation system: Soarian documentation system, MAK medication systemScheduling requirements: Every other weekend, every other Friday, and every other holidayFloating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float pool team.Hospital Specifics-Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children's Hospital within a hospitalProcedures performed on unit: Central line placement, paracentesis, wound vac placement.Certifications Required: BLS required. Medical-Surgical certification encouraged.Unit Specifics:**Med Surg FLOAT POOLNumber of Beds : 766 licensed bedsUnit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Work side by side with members of interdisciplinary teams on all units: PA's, NP's, Residents, Attending MDs, Fellows, PCA, and ASAsType of equipment : wound vac, EKG monitoring, advanced neuro assessmentsDocumentation system: SoarianScheduling requirements: Every other weekend; may request weekend block Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/MonFloating policy: to areas with competency.Patient Experience requirements: Working with a variety of different patient populations. Must be flexible in assignments, comfortable with change, and willing to learn new skillsAdvanced skills needed: Ability and willingness to float to 22 different medical and surgical units.
