Clinical Nurse III: E4: General Med/ Surg at Albany Medical Center summary: The Clinical Nurse III in the Medical/Surgical unit is responsible for providing compassionate care to patients by administering medications, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with healthcare teams to develop care plans. This role involves both primary and emergency care for various patient conditions, emphasizing sound nursing judgment and adherence to medical regulations. The nurse also guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards, creating a supportive environment for patients and colleagues. Department/Unit: Medical/Surgical Hospitalist - E4 Work Shift: Night (United States of America) Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61 The clinical Nurse contributes to the creation of a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families and colleagues through displays of kindness and active listening. • Hourly Max= $60.93
• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
