Information Technology Associate

Salary: $65,000

UUP is looking for a motivated individual to work in a member focused environment as an IT Associate. This is a hybrid position after an initial 6-month onboarding/probation period on-site, based in Latham, NY. Some travel is required within New York State. Must have a team-first attitude with a willingness to explore new ideas and be flexible with ever-changing projects and requirements. Communications skills with both technical and non-technical staff a must. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Function as frontline support for internal and external users
Desktop/laptop, printer and IT equipment administration
Manage nightly backups via Backup Exec using rotational disk drives
Internal office database support, specifically using SQL Server, MYSQL and PHP
Chapter website support and maintenance via WordPress and html pages
Internal phone system support using Avaya IP Office Manager (PBX system)
Familiarity with Office 365 suite
Backup for Windows Active Directory/network administration
Backup to the web manager for UUP's websites
General office IT projects as assigned

A bachelor's degree in an IT related field is required. The IT Associate will serve under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology.
