  • Job Details
  • This position may need to float to the following locations: Glen Falls, Amsterdam, Hudson, Niskayuna, Saratoga Springs, Kingston.
  • The Registered Vascular Technologist II performs a variety of noninvasive diagnostic tests to detect vascular disease and is able to report findings of exams to medical staff.
  • Must perform clinical assessment of patients and provide basic patient care while testing is being performed.
    • Job Requirements
    • Associates degree in Sonography in Vascular Tech w/ RVT or RVS Certification OR Associates degree in Sonography in Vascular Tech while waiting to get their RVT or RVS Certification (completion required within 1 year) OR Graduate of AMC Training Program w/ RVT or RVS Certification
    • Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a general or vascular ultrasound department at an outside facility
    • Must be proficient in vascular studies listed below: Venous Duplex, Arterial Bypass, Fistula Hemodialysis Graft, Aortic Grafts and AAA, Renal Artery Duplex, Mesenteric Artery Duplex, Pulse Volume Recording (PVR), Vein Mapping, Venous Reflux Duplex, Hepatic-Portal Duplex.
      • Schedule Information
      • Available for backup coverage on occasional weekends, holidays and on-call to cover inpatients.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Must follow AMC policies, procedures and protocols.
        • Responsible for accurate and reproducible data collection, ensuring that laboratory specific policies and protocols are followed.
          • Additional Details
          • Effective 1/11/2024, local candidates are no longer being accepted by AMC.
          • Proactive approach to obtain necessary CME's to maintain individual credentials.
          • Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure/protocol manuals.
